Today I woke up and I saw someone else in the mirror. Today I started to realize i’m not who i was before. I’m lost in my own mind, I’m losing track of time. “You’ll shine bright”, that’s what they told me. Hold on tight to your dreams, their golden. When the time is right you’ll have a moment to shine your broken light. Someday I’ll be just like one of them, standing tall without a sense of who I am. That day I’ll be my only friend without a thought of where I’ve been. I walked away from my life, I didn’t even say goodbye. Like the sun comes up, I will rise. Like the sun burns, I will burn bright. From now on I will shine my broken light. Day has broken. I have spoken. I will go on unbroken.
